Book Sale, June 28: Save the Date!

June 3, 2026

Dear friends,

For years now we’ve been squirreling away books for an epic sale. Well the time has come: yesterday afternoon, a trio of doughty volunteers brought out fifty boxes of books from the basement, the attic, and the back porch, gave them a final sort, and piled them together in our Callan library:

What a variety! Theology, spirituality, philosophy, history, art, literature, politics – the whole gamut. And we’re going to be selling them cheap: this sale isn’t for profit (with gratitude to our generous donors), but to clear out space at the Center for future projects and find homes for these books where they can build up the Kingdom.

So if you love a good book or know someone who does (Christmas is just seven months away!), mark Sunday, June 28, the Feast of St. Irenaeus, on your calendar. (Or if you’re traveling that day, there will be a makeup sale in the evening on Wednesday, July 1.)

It might be years till the next sale (the oldest boxes were dated March, 2020!) – so don’t miss it!

Grace be with you,

Ted
